O Parque é constituído por ilhas e ilhotas fluviais e fica no último trecho livre de represamento do Rio Paraná. A vegetação predominante é típica de regiões pantanosas e de campos de inundação. Algumas espécies da flora lá encontradas são figueiras, jequitibás, embaúbas, orquídeas e bromeliáceas. Na fauna, podem ser vistos cervos-do-pantanal, jacarés-de-papo-amarelo, onças-pintadas, tamanduás-bandeira, entre outros.
